The Emmy Awards praised TV stars for their work and even though some women may not have walked away with a trophy, there were plenty of style winners who glided on the red carpet with a different kind of pride. While it was a close race with many excellent contenders, these are my picks, ladies who claim a spot on the list for the five best dressed women on Emmys night 2011.
She dazzled in the flirty dress that was complemented with her unfussy ponytail and décolletage which was draped with a large silver pendant. A ruffle layer under her hem made the dress look original and put the finishing touch on a lovely train.
Yet another sequined floor-length dress, but Danes brought a new appeal to the scintillating formal style by picking a gown with a classy and flashy rectangular pattern in all different shades of blue. Because the dress was fitted, the bold geometric style didn’t overwhelm her slender frame.
Kelly Osbourne’s days of being a messy dresser are over. In her dark plum gown she wowed everyone. I’m sure even her co-host of Fashion Police, Joan Rivers, would agree. The ruching on the bodice, the mermaid cut, and the unexpected straps made this a masterpiece.
Washington always looks gorgeous and again she scores two thumbs up in this time. I should probably spare you a description (click the image link) since it sounds like there would be too much going on to declare it “chic.” But alas, Washington pulls it together bringing us something exciting and enviable as she shines with confidence.
This little lady makes my list again. This time coming out on top! Honestly can it get better than a strapless red mermaid dress with a radical bottom? Red Happens to be my favorite color for clothing and she rocked this style. It had a clean cut that shaped her body perfectly but the bottom was dramatic enough to ensure no would be bored.
